Community truly is a place where all children thrive!
Community is a licensed, United Way sponsored, not-for-profit early childhood program that offers high quality curricula facilitated by experienced and committed teachers. It currently services over 150 multi-cultural families with its nursery school, day care, before- and after-school care, and summer programs. Regardless of a family’s ability to pay, there is a place for everyone at Community!
Community’s one and only fundraiser, the Annual Spring Benefit, is just around the bend. Please join us Friday evening, April 26th, 2013 at Deer Path Inn to help raise funds for the special programs and services that make Community such a gem in Highland Park. This event is sure to be especially memorable as we honor our retiring director, Jean Wallace-Baker, for her thirty-one years of service!
Entering into our 62nd year, this is Community’s only major fundraising campaign for the year which makes your support critical. The proceeds from this fundraiser promote:
Last year Community raised over $40,000 at its Annual Spring Benefit. This was a milestone year as Community marked its 61st year as a premier early childhood Center. We hope to continue the momentum from last year with local and long-distance support.
The Annual Spring Benefit is part raffle and part live auction. Our school’s families and the greater community (think neighbors, friends and family) may purchase raffle tickets in advance and need not be present for a chance to win an amazing raffle package.
Tickets are $10 each, 6 for $50 or 13 for $100. This year we have ten exceptional raffle package prizes. For example, if you enjoy dining out, you may purchase raffle tickets for our incredible “Eat Your Heart Out” raffle package that includes gift certificates to local restaurants. Most of these gift certificates are valued at $50, and if you win this package, you win them all!
